Formative Assessment
ETP008 Teaching and Retaining Underprepared Students
This course is designed to introduce faculty to strategies they can use in their classrooms to help under-prepared students succeed in all modalities. Participants will learn about college resources and wiill work on integrating at least one strategy or technique in their classroom.
ALT028 Creating Engaging Discussions in D2L
Participants will learn how to use the Discussion board in D2L to engage and encourage online discussions of relevant topics in their courses. Course will also review setting up a topic forum in the discussions tool, create a discussion board assignment, assessment tools and post/response tools.

OBA002 Authentic Assessment for Remote Learning
This course identifies the types of authentic assessment techniques used in high education as well as the components for building authentic assessment. By the end of the workshop, you will learn strategies to design and incorporate alternative assessment into your courses.
ALT022 Creating Tests & Quizzes in D2L
This session goes over how to create tests and quizzes in D2L.
ALT026 Advanced Test & Quizzes in D2L
This session will cover topics such as inserting multimedia into questions and creating question pools in D2L tests and quizzes.

ALT040 Getting Ready to Teach Blended/Online
This course is designed to certify faculty to teach a blended course or an online course that was previously developed by another faculty member.
ETP047 Ensuring Academic Integrity
This course on academic integrity will go over the importance of a commitment to and demonstration of honest and moral behavior in all academic settings. The course will showcase different technologies such as Honorlock, Turnitin, and features of D2L that will help ensure academic integrity is upheld on all types of summative assessments.

ETP016 Designing Effective Writing Assignments
This workshop is designed to inform faculty about the expectations of a writing credit course at Broward College. As part of this, we will cover pedagogical approaches to writing within various disciplines and consider how to develop effective writing assignments to achieve the key objectives of a course
