Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2025 Professional Development Day. It was great to see everyone on campus, sharing knowledge, laughter, and camaraderie. Your participation made the day both memorable and inspiring.

An event of this magnitude truly takes a village! I would like to thank my amazing CTEL team, our PDD Planning team, volunteers, presenters, Facilities team, Landscaping and Grounds team, Central Campus Business Affairs, Central Campus Student Life, Custodial Services, IT team, CSIT, Procurement team, student Jazz Combo, Professional Development Planning Committee, Campus Safety, Bailey Hall team, BC Foundation, Brightstar Credit Union UFF-BC, D2L Brightspace, Broward County Humane Society, Tigertail, and our Senior Leadership team for your support.

Thank You – Professional Development Day, February 21, 2025 and we are excited to announce that we have nearly 700 people registered!

Thank YOU!  Please do not wait to register as some sessions already have waitlists.  We are monitoring enrollment and will do our best to move sessions into larger rooms, if necessary and possible.  

As a reminder, Community Time celebrates various programs featured at Broward College.  Participants will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy student performances, the arts, and various activities and games. Please feel free to bring blankets, lawn chairs, frisbees, games, a book, or whatever else you want to enjoy your time on the lawn with your colleagues!  

​**To ensure that we have an accurate count, please be sure to register for lunch**

Below is the schedule for the day:

PDD 2025 Schedule

Traffic Alert: Lots C, D, and E (front of campus) will be unavailable.
During construction, the best entrance and best parking for PDD will be the entrance off of College Avenue on the west side of campus. Limited Parking is available in front of Bailey Hall (Building 4) and overflow parking is in the West Side Parking Garage (Building 108).

Welcome Breakfast

8:15 am – 9:15 am – Bailey Hall

Breakfast will be served in the Bailey Hall Breezeway from 8:15am – 9:00am

Session 1

9:15 am – 10:30 am – Bailey Hall

The opening session will be located in Bailey Hall from 9:15am – 10:30am

Session 2

10:45 am – 11:45 am – Breakout

Engage with expert-led discussions and workshops.

Session 3

11:45 am – 1:45 pm – Lunch & Community Time

Lunch will be served in Building 10 (Gym) from 11:45am – 1:45pm

Please Note: Lunch will be provided by Mission BBQ.  There will be a vegetarian option.  If you have any other specific dietary requirements or allergies, please bring your own meal.

Community Time celebrates various programs featured at Broward College.  
  • Participants will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy our student Jazz Combo, the arts, and various activities and games. Please dress casually and comfortably and please feel free to bring blankets, lawn chairs, frisbees, games, a book, or whatever else you want to enjoy your time on the lawn with your colleagues!   Community Time will be located on the lawn in front of Building 17 (Library).   
    It is expected to be a sunny day, so please don’t forget your sunscreen!

Raffle Prizes will be awarded during Community Time.  Raffle times are 12:30, 1:00, and 1:30pm.  Get your raffle ticket at the CTEL table in the exhibitor area outside Building 17.  You must be present to win!

2 pm – 3 pm – Breakout
Engage with expert-led discussions and workshops.

Pathway Department Meetings

3:15 pm

Conclude the day with team collaboration, if scheduled.
